if they do youth school reform right (which I doubt), that player could be great.

I'm not holding my breath though. I'll pass out.

I mean anything under 4 is good talent. The best talent is around 3.3. I’d say 5 is average so if you’re completely throwing away those between 4-5 then I think you need to reassess (especially if you aren’t generating enough pulls). Fine if they come out 20-21 but if they come out as 18 or under you’re missing out.

Your call but you’ll never get anyone if they have to be 16-17 and 3.5 talent

Best talent is around 3.1 and imo everything above 4 is not good...

agree, it is not hard to find talents below 4 and it is not worth training players with talent larger than 4

this is my current view. I do have a guy around 3.2, but I bought him at mid 20. Only paid 100k. Was a divine pull for someone else (I saw a screenshot, unless photoshopped of course)

- I kept anyone who entered at a level of average or higher, and comes out before early 19. Weak, if 16.
- they get tested for talent, and get canned when I trim down to 9 after youth school week. I never had a problem trimming youth because they all stunk.

in my view, there was no point keeping a 4.0 talent in YS if they weren't going to come out at a level that would allow for the possibility of being profitable.

I disagree. Have several players high end skills that had talents approximately between 4-5 in junior school. Often it all depends on skill distribution and age.

I’d say anything above 5 isn’t good. Anything between 4-5 depends on distribution of skills.

In any case my point still stands that if you’re only keeping juniors in your youth school under 4 and age 16-17 you are going to struggle to get juniors in your youth school. I’d have 0 in my youth school at present if I went by that.

Sure there are players available to buy with this talent because there’s many more players in the pool then what you can produce. Still feel you’re missing out. Any change in youth school reform would be highly unlikely to make the best talents easier to acquire anyway. Happy to be proven wrong but strongly doubt it would be significantly different to now based on all other changes made to date.

Can you get player with talent larger than 4 even with a good distribution to end up with 4-5 x 18 skills before age 28?
2025-01-03 10:37:09
Probably not but think you’d struggle with a low 3 talent too unless they’re super high skilled to start with or 16.

4-5x sd imo doesn’t qualify as good. Qualifies as elite/best. I guess definition of good will be different for different leagues too.

5x 18 qualifies as impossible;)

5x 17 is elite, there’s a couple of those… even Poland doesnt have anyone at 5x 17, one player is not far off though

You can form decent strikers and defs with talent 4-4,5 if they start with reasonable skill distribution.... decent means striker with 2 x 16 + 1 x 17 and defs with 2x17 but not super secondaries.... not all teams can have top players, and Even top teams have difficulties having top players on each position at all times.. nothing wrong there.... otherwise all would be equal, and there would be no manager part of the game only tactical part

i see, thank you

defs, agreed. Strikers... if you call triple 15 decent, then yes. More is practically impossible. with such a talent.

early to mid 18 is okay, but late 18 is essentially early 19 and no one pays for that.

depends on how long you train them. I'm discovering training past 26 is horrible.

I have a kid Dakota Hodge who has 3.85 talent. Pulled mid-16, about as early as you reasonably can. Unearthly training, and magical x2/brilliant x1 assistant.
He will end up (estimate) maybe 3x16 if I stop at end of 27. His subskills won't be high either, except pace.

Not sure where this divine is coming from, unless you rob something else.
