Thema: Fans expectations

2024-04-13 23:49:06
devs are strong to get the opposite result to their expectations.
2024-04-13 23:51:18
Indeed. But the devs find it problematic if those rich teams suddenly start investing in their club, buidling it up to a superteam, hold the scepter a few season and drop back down to lower divisions due to lack of funds or older players and lack of trainees / income to overcome that.
The problem here is that the devs don't realise that the lack of development over the years build a certain bordedom over the game in which lots of players mostly stay for reasons other than fighting for the highest possible place in the ranking and league...
And because they don't want to admit that it's actually the current format and the lack of development in the past that is the main reason why there's such a playstyle within the game. Like you said...and it's been said lots before too... The devs need to focus on what's important!

1) Fix the most important bugs, like the cookie bugs f.e.
2) fix the pages to 1 format, not new and old pages which bug each other constantly.
3) Make the game fun to play...so people actually stay longer if they try it out!
4) Make a decent tutorial, preferably interactive
5) Promote the game on a larg(er) scale
6) Give new teams better starting gear
7) Make the youth more interesting

And if all those points are taken care of...maybe then they can think about other stuff like fan base reform or pressroom stuff...

They just need 2 things to start with...
1) Someone who can make priorities on what people ,who play this game, want
2) Someone who can communicate with us on a weekly basis, even if it is only 1 post about work done and work to come...

The new system seems totally fucked up ... Had worst result I can make and my supporters are delighted...
But what I'm pissed off more I have conditions in 60m and changes triggered 82m more than 25m no stop in the game that's unreal...

It is said everywhere that the big problem with attracting newcomers to the game is that it takes too long for them to become competitive.

Congratulations! The change in supporter sentiment has exacerbated this problem!

I am in the Second Division.02, started 2 seasons ago. Last season I got between 23 and 29 new fans per week during winning periods.
Now 6 to 9 with a better league position!
In other words, my road as a beginner to getting a good fan base here and thus a good financial base takes three times as long!

I would say absolutely counterproductive. Ways need to be found to make it easier, not harder, for newcomers to build a club.

Yes this is upgrade is an absolute downgrade.
Not any idea why they want to get rid of newcomers...
Most strange decision ever.

This surely is not an intended change .They simply made a mistake. I just hope they realise itand are able to reverse it.

It was working always like that and is not caused by new moods system.
The biggest fanclub you have, the less fans will come to support your club.

I will give you example from my history.

season 63 - my first season in 5th polish league - 5 wins, 5 draws, 12 loses, relegation and +344 fans
season 65 - promoted second time to 5th league - 18 wins, 2 draws, 2 loses, 2nd place and +261 fans - much better results and 80 fans less came
season 66 - 9 wins, 5 draws, 8 loses, 6th place and +90 fans
season 67 - 14 wins, 5 draws, 3 loses, 3rd place and +165 fans
season 68 - 19 wins, 3 draws, 0 loses, 1st place and +112 fans - again, much better result than in previous season and 50 fans less came

It is because how many fans will come is dependand from a whole league level (league fans base), if your league gets worse (more bots, or teams promoted are worse than relegated) and you have more fans than season ago, so you are again better comparing to other teams - you will get less and less fans no matter how good result you achieve.

It was always like that.

This surely is not an intended change

It was not intended that newcomers are having expectations inherited from previous team. That results with problems when the bot team was a good team.

I just hope they realise itand are able to reverse it.

They know about it since it was introduced, there is a plan that new team will have minimum expectations for first season or two.
2024-04-16 01:10:51
But if a new team has high level of supporters mood and still loses supporters at around 200 fanclub, then there is probably something else wrong as well…?

I’m not sure only expectations bug would explain this problem?
2024-04-16 01:24:52
New fans view would explain more, I would like to see screenshot from office to judge.

@DTox9 Thank you for explaining. I'm understanding better now, where it's coming from. But I agree with you, there are other things that are more important.
"3. Make the game fun to play..." I wish there were easy ways to achieve this, as different managers have different things that are fun for them. So I would focus on your other suggestions first, like changes for new managers and the already planned "additional" changes first (additional skilllevel, maybe international league) instead of the transformative changes (so the ones that change existing systems and will always cause unrest).

Yea, not sure the problem for new managers is solved either. I joined this season on the first Monday of week 0, last season shouldn't really be my problem.

Officially my fans want this: Fan's expectations: Top half of the table, I'm second in a botleague, lost 1 match. Gotten 10 Fans this week though, after 5 in the last 3 weeks together. So that's at least progress. It's no biggie. Just weird.
