It will get better if you stay in first place ... the fans remember last season still

I know but last season i achieved the expectations. I was 5th and the expectations were top half of the table. I also won the national cup..

Cup doesn't matter and you have "goal achieved", so not possible max of expectations. For this season you have "great success".

theres a graph of how the 3 aspects affect fans mood. why not render that graph with explanation in that page? I feel this question is often asked
2024-10-13 17:22:29
100% is only with great success both seasons

I just want to say that we are now #2 in the top leauge, The second best team in the entire nation. #1 is just 2 points ahead. We went to the final of the Cup. And that is still below expectations to a degree that only 30.000 turned up in the cup final at the other guys' stadium.
I could still win the leauge. It's just 2 points. It was the cup final. They just hate us, unless we win absolutely anything AND are in front the entire way while doing it. Check my club. This is NOT a failure.. It's soooo much better than last year. And supporters are depressed - we are below expectations. This system is SO broken. It's an overperforming season for last years #4 in the league, who was eliminated in 4th round of the cup. This really is taking away the joy of improving.

Also, how would I get "massive succes"?

They expect too much the fans.

They expect 3 teams to be champions in our league, and how to get 100% for them, cause it would only mean expectations succeded if they win.

I won the 2 last seasons in row, coming from lower expectations... yet i had 100% success only in the week after the 2nd title, i lost my 100% at off season friendlies and then they got screwed big time over in new season, Even im only 3 points behind in league, knocked out greek champions which is bigger team in cc, got to semi in cup and lost close.

"I won the 2 last seasons in row, coming from lower expectations..."

...and still they don't expect you to win, but 3 others must + You and one other team must be in top-3 AND 4 more must finish in top half. That's 9 team in top half, 5 of them in top-3 and 3 of them champions :)

This is last years number 4, currently 2 and ahead of last years Champion (Adaca):

Plus, it's insane how few fans show up for home matches when they are satisfied or delighted, versus madly.

I'm factoring in opponent fan base as well. Not only did I sell out more often last season - i charged 2 or 3 bucks more a ticket across the board.

Now that expectations are higher for me, fans are between 67-75% happy and my ticket income is down 20% from last season. Stadium had 5k less seats last session, too.

It's perfectly possible for fans of multiple teams to expect their team to win the championship. As a fan, you have expectations of your team, and if your team is up for the challenge and strong enough to play for the championship, then that should be the expectation of the fans.
However, if the team is playing at the highest level, the fans should never be disappointed if your team is still running for the expectations they have.

I lost in a cup to a relatively new team that bought a lot of strong grandpas and my fans became upset. In the summary of the game it was showing as an easy win. I feel this drop is way to big due to the fact the team is quite strong despite the system considering it a super weak team. I am not sure if number of fans in fan club is part of such big drop in "Level of satisfaction with recent matches:"
The system also incorrectly classified that team as the weakest team in the league.

"However, if the team is playing at the highest level, the fans should never be disappointed if your team is still running for the expectations they have. "

Yes. And that is not a minor detail. IRL there is Arsenal-Liverpool today. It´s #4 vs. #2. If that was SK, nobody would show up to watch the game, because both teams are a complete failure. But I agree: They could still win, right?

I agree that several teams could aim for the same title, but if 3 teams have that goal, there should not be 2 more aiming for top-3 as well. And if those 5, in a league of 12, have that goal, there should not be 4 more aiming for top-6. But worse: if we talk real life into this, it's Man City (Adaca) who is aiming for top-3, not the title. This does not work. Period.

Match expectations is based off difference in fan club sizes. The further away from te expected result the more you lose fan mood wise. Believe this impacts current/recent fan satisfaction.

A cup loss also weights more towards losing I think as you get knocked out as well. It’s like losing a quali match, although less extreme I think (could be wrong as it might be equal weighting as losing a league match or quali).

I wouldn't really start the real life comparisons because usually they don't make much sense.

Man United is a complete failure for a ~decade and yet they have the biggest attendance in the league, always/almost always sold 100% capacity.

The whole point of the new mood system was to limit the income from sponsors/tickets (league tickets were doubled when they changed the league system) and to try forcing people to play for results and try to win their league etc. (which obviously didn't work).

I recon having multiple fan expectations, based on different grounds might be a good thing. Same with board expectations.

F.e.: Fans expect the club to play top 5 league table place, advance within the cup until round 4 and expect your top player to play each league match.

As for board expectations, something like youth growth, selling and / or buying players, reïnforcements, and reaching a certain financial buffer might be immersive.
I find the managing part of the game a bit disappointing.

Yes. I think match expectations should be fixed to a better way.
