I thought the most recent match had a question mark in the form thing.

hi guys, new DD is already published, i have some free time this weekend (especially tomorrow) to answer any your questions according to published news or any other cases.

what do you expect now? users are disappointed.
I hope not to see questions, users want changes and stop.

reform on form, on the youth academy, on national team friendlies and many other things. you disappeared completely and many users left the game.

Maska an Raul
Why do you want to promote the game if it is not even translated correctly ? Another disappointment is the lack of a tutorial..

Why are you taking this from ass side ?

I believe we fully understand users' disappointment with the lack of communication. Unfortunately, these are the realities - we have invested a tremendous amount of time, personal funds, worked after hours for a long time - yet, all the changes so far have not helped much and have not paid off. The investment pool we allocated for Sokker's development has run out, the game is running at a loss. We are unable to develop it at the pace we did in the first years after its reactivation. At this point, we are practically reinvesting the majority of the funds obtained from PLUS into further changes, but the revenues are so low that progress is simply slow - I'm not quite sure what more we can do about it.

Hence the attempts to promote the still imperfect game - we started our project even before the pandemic, the budget we had for it was supposed to cover a full overhaul - unfortunately, developer labor costs have significantly increased, and we couldn't even finish 50% of the goals.

However, since this is now just an after-hours project and our hobby, we are unable to communicate with you as frequently and intensively as we did at the beginning. Nonetheless - the game is running, it is in a much better state than it was four years ago when we started. We will continue to slowly improve it, but within the limitations we have.

Hi Raul,

have a look at Tsolias' suggestions (2024-02-27 11:49:26).

Raul, that is the best answer you made still... ever. Thank you for this answer. This is true communication. Even if the initial project was great, it is still better to tell customers the truth even if it is hard.
Really thank you.

Moreover, with info given about finances, you may take time to analyse the project to give more realistic updates in the future. I prefer to hear that now you will be able to developp such part of the game only next season and such other in 2 seasons and so on.

I've asked other devs how we can manage it - maybe there is a chance to somehow protect few external tools from blocking. I will let you know.

The work we are currently doing can be divided into two types of tasks:

Complex tasks, where we can only focus on one such topic at a time - a good example here is the new sokker shop and the introduction of subscriptions - it requires designing a new interface, graphics, but also a larger amount of programming work to create a functional solution, connecting it with the new payment system, etc. - this task practically blocks our ability to work on the next game mechanics reform at the moment (because the same backend developer is working on it).

Fairly simple tasks, involving fixing simple errors, adding, for example, additional news in the pressroom, or even creating a new page, provided that it is based on some old Sokker page, i.e., it utilizes most of the game engine and data that already exist - that's why a clever idea, as mentioned in the news, is developing a new page for the player view - it can be improved and converted into a new view quite easily because we're not changing any game mechanics here.

Big changes, which everyone is waiting for - like the junior academy reform - fall into the first category. In the current circumstances - until we implement the new shop, the resources required to start work on such a reform won't be available - the new academy involves both intervention in the game mechanics, which takes time and requires testing, but also creating, for example, a new academy page, where there will be the possibility of expanding its buildings, etc.

For this reason, we will consider whether the junior academy is the most important topic we should work on after finishing the shop - we would be happy to hear if you have a different priority here. But it's important that we are aware that we will have to decide on one such big topic, and the next one will have to wait until it's finished.

We will try to gradually implement tasks from the second category in parallel, step by step.
