He is older and worse than Aguero and they paid more for him.
How's that ever going to be a win-win situation?
Especially when you consider the fact that Aguero was one of those making situations, not only scoring from 3-4 meters...

Falcao didn't have any offers, he achieved what he could with Porto, he will get more money at Atletico - what's there not to understand?
He could've stayed in Porto, everything was going well there, they will play champions which would have probably gave him a chance to get offers from better teams 'cause I really think Porto with Falcao would do a good Champions.
Now in Atletico I dont see him scoring that much, I hope i'm mistaken though.

I also don't expect him to score a lot. Atletico was relying on Aguero a lot in creating opportunities for goals, changing Aguero for Falcao...so stupid.
You´ll see it in 2-3 years!
It will be a win-win.
They lost Aguero, i dont think they wanted to get a older and more expensive player but thats just how the situation is and they made the most of it.
Probably there wasnt anyone more suitable available. I dont think that a club that big makes something without thinking about the future, im sure they got a plan.

I can't imagine it. Falcao is not the kind of player for whom someone will pay more in the future. And will he want to stay in Atletico for long? I doubt it.
he will stay there for 2/3 seasons then i can see him playing for one of the milan clubs
He will be 28yo, a bit too old to pay for him 40m, especially when he's without experience in playing for the biggest clubs.
Anyway..who pays so much for a poacher?! It's ridiculous...
Carroll was expensive...but he is 5 years younger and has amazing physical attributes - strong and tall as a tree...big tree :p.
Falcao is just another Inzaghi...

so, inzaghi didnt score enough goals ... or falcao didnt score enough goals for you? :) I doubt Caroll will ever score anything close to theirs :)
My point is no one pays so much for poachers like Inzaghi. They are just not worth.
As for Carroll, at age of 22 he has scored 34 goals. When Falcao was 23 he had 39 goals on his account, so don't worry.
And don't compare easy Portuguese league with Premier League...:] Saviola scored there more goals in 2 seasons than in 5 seasons in Primera Divison...Quaresma was a star there...so...:)

yup, the portuguese league has good teams like Porto, benfica, and an okay team in sporting, but then they have weak teams.. reminds me a bit of the dutch league.
20 milions for season for Eto in Anji !?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
AGAINST MODERN FOOTBALL !

oh, stop trolling :p
Weak league? Thats why 3 ouf of 4 were in semi finals of Europa league.
And PL is just same situation: strong chelsea, city and united and good Liverpool and Arsenal ... and then a bunch of 'weaker' teams where one or more spring a surprise every now and then.

Who cares for Europa League? Italian teams use reserves, Redkapp already said that he doesn't care fo EL and will use reserves and youths in group stages. Only little teams [Fulham, Stoke, Atletico, Villarreal] or teams from weak leagues care...
Good Arsenal, very good Liverpool, good Tottenham. And lots of fighting teams that know how to play football...
