Thema: Robnob's Newbie Guide

it might not be exactly kind of question that should be asked here, but my team is almost going bankrupt, and I need to sell every week new player to avoid this, so I decided to sell one of my best player in order to be able build arena and buy new trainees.
so player I want to sell is from Georgia and is part of u21 and is considered one of the best player in national team (I know its weird :))
he is 20 years old his skills are:
value: 455 500 ლ
wage: 3 250 ლ
incredible form

adequate stamina tragic keeper
good pace hopeless defender
adequate technique very good playmaker
weak passing incredible striker

so I want to get at least 3 mil euro for it. if it sells for less then I don't think its worth selling and I'll think of other ways. thing is my players sell so cheap lately I can't afford to experiment whether it will sell or not, so can you tell me how much money is this player worth?
2010-03-17 17:54:03
no way you'll get 3M euros for him...
I think 1.5M at max, being NT member...

maybe you can try other methods to avoid bankruptcy, fire some coaches, some useless players...

SHow us your weekly income/expend
2010-03-17 18:05:12
He's not worth more than 666 667 $ imo :S
2010-03-17 18:07:00
mine?:)
well, it's pretty useless, as I have only young players, my sponsors are as in IVth division, my transfers are daily :)

here you go:

Account balance: 10 488 894 $
Current week
Income Expenses
from sponsors: 192 060 $
from transfers: 2 746 267 $ for transfers: 0 lei
from tickets: 29 310 $ for stadium: 19 500 $
miscellaneous: 0 lei miscellaneous: 0 lei
for salaries: 229 450 $
for junior school: 22 000 $
total: 2 967 636 $ total: 270 950 $
profit/loss: 2 696 686 $

Previous week
Income Expenses
from sponsors: 192 903 $
from transfers: 7 495 548 $ for transfers: 1 319 000 $
from tickets: 123 274 $ for stadium: 78 000 lei
miscellaneous: 0 lei miscellaneous: 0 lei
for salaries: 238 625 $
for junior school: 88 000 lei
total: 7 811 724 $ total: 1 599 125 $
profit/loss: 6 212 599 $

not to relevant...
but when I was in lower divisions, I managed to reach a balance at 2 weeks, I was constantly staying at around -250k euros
2010-03-17 18:19:39
and this is when I play home. as you can see I'm totally screwed

Account balance: -732 799 ლ
Current week
Income Expenses
from sponsors: 122 109 ლ
from transfers: 0 ლ for transfers: 0 ლ
from tickets: 50 943 ლ for stadium: 4 500 ლ
miscellaneous: 0 ლ miscellaneous: 26 186 ლ
for salaries: 249 250 ლ
for junior school: 44 000 ლ
total: 173 052 ლ total: 323 936 ლ
profit/loss: -150 884 ლ

the reason I was hoping for 3 mil is because I see some of the players that sell for 5-8 mil euro and they don't seem that special. plus this player is very talented and is guaranteed that he will continue playing in NT once he reaches 22

its the salaries that are killing you.
2010-03-17 18:38:26
I know but I can't fire coaches. if I do that, I'll be stuck at one place, wont be able to train players properly
2010-03-17 20:42:41
you should forget about expanding your stadium
you should get coaches you can afford so you have a profit every fortnight

You'll move forward quicker than if you have to keep selling players to pay coaches to train their worse replacements
2010-03-17 20:58:24
Yep, sell that player and sack those coaches. That should still put you in the black but on a more even keel.
2010-03-17 22:26:11
I'm in 1st division and my fans are always in best mood, is not it better idea to expand stadium?
oh and I have 646 fans
2010-03-18 03:54:59
You should have expanded your stadium and upgraded your coaching staff at an even pace, so that one is helping to pay for the other. It looks to me like you have the coaching staff of a top club and the same stadium you got as a newbie. Recipe for disaster there.

Maybe sack just the assistants, then sell some players, just enough to make it to the end of season bonuses. At that point you can expand the stadium, so that next season you can at least have some extra income from home matches.

I don't know if even that is going to be enough to get you in the black though, you're paying 5 times as much in salary as you are bringing in for a home match, that's crazy. The only way you can sustain that is to sell players regularly.

Remember to sell your best players at the beginning of the season. That's when you'll get the most money, just sell what you need to survive now. Then sell your best expendable assets in the preseason, followed by a stadium upgrade. Then reassess your finances and go from there.

That's what I'd do anyway, good luck.

Stadium only bring in a return on your investment after a very very long time. And no where near as much as training anyway.

When you start making proper money out of training and aren't running a constant risk of bankruptcy then you might think about expansion

thanks for taking your time to put this up guys

Uriah
Vancian

thanks for advices. so I'll do following, I'll sell my top player at the beginning of new season. I'll fire my main coach and hire the one that has unearthly skill only in Striking, since I'm planning to train that skill. I just fired overall magical junior coach, and if I fire incredible, outstanding and formidable coach and assistant coaches, I will start making profit every week. this will have bad effect on training however.. oh well

get 3 cheap assistants though
