Evening all,

I've made several attempts to start playing Sokker in the past but failed. It's always looked too impenetrable, even as a seasoned Hattrick player.

What would people say are the first three actions I should take as a new manager?

I will read the guides and rules also.

As someone who only started a few months ago and is sure to be carrying on, I'd say the most important things to do first are to sell the squad you have right now, other than any young players who aren't awful. Buy a new squad of young players you can look to train and develop to keep or sell. Also get rid of the coaches you have and look at some tutorials on the training to get the idea of it, you want your head coach to be rated unearthly in the skill you're training, that's the most important.

There's a lot to take in with this game, it's not like any other football management game which is why it appeals to me, it seems as though you really do have to be good at it to do well. Keep up to date with the forums because even players who have been registered for years will be talking about the different way to do things.

Finally if you want to start this game properly, I've realised that especially starting at the time we have, you need a lot of patience to develop the club and feel like you are catching up at all. But make sure you enjoy it, good luck :)

Hi and welcome Hip, I 2nd what Gkimber says and also that its much better than hattrick because you can see the matches take place instead of reading text.

1. Main coach Unearthly in what you are training [other skills don't matter at this time , lower wage the better]
2. Buy some assistant coaches min. outstanding overall [other skills dont matter]
3. Buy about 9 x 18-19yo's for £2 a pop

As soon as there skills have gone up 2 or 3 times sell them for small profits building all the time getting slighlty better 18-19yo's as you go along.

After this you can get some benches for you stadium & buy a Incredible junior coach

Also I find classic view the best [before you log in hover over the 3rd icon from the right & then click theme, up the top right click restore old theme] It gets more players on 1 screen & I find it altogether better, and use Firefox it goes best with sokker.

What would you say is the best skill to train, for profit?

For newer users I'd say striker & tech, get 6 players [4 of them main strikers] who have lower striker & tech than pace [pace takes the longest to train] and train striker & tech, somthing like this:
19/20yo
very good/excell pace
good/solid tech
good/solid striker

Play 3 with striker orders in the league [1 can play in midfield but on striker orders] and 3 strikers orders in the friendlies

Players like the 1 above, try and get for under 10g, try and get 5 or 6 of them or at least 4, and 2 wingers or att mids, all players apart from keeper need pace and tech and you can only train 6 players on striker a week that's why they fetch more money, so your best bet is to train striker.
