Thema: A variety of questions

Been playing a few weeks now. A few questions I've got are:

Does the match engine penalise teams who take too much of a lead? I've noticed in a couple of games that once I'm 4-0 up I miss everything including very good chances my players would normally score from.

How high can I put ticket prices without scaring fans away? My terraces don't sell out so I'll leave them alone, but my 2000 benches at £3.75 sold out.

Is there any point in midfielders having a decent scoring skill? In my last match I had 18 shots from strikers, 1 from a wide midfielder, and 1 from a central midfielder. However, the midfielders put in loads of tackles. So I'm thinking ignore scoring and focus more on defending for all midfielders when playing 4-4-2.

What do the off and def percentages mean in the match report? They seem to add up to 100% so is it just the percentage of time that player was nearest the ball when I'm attacking or defending?

How much effect do assistant coaches have? I currently have a single solid [8] assistant. Would a couple of low level but cheap assistants be worth it? Or another around v.good or excellent? Or is a single solid OK?

Is there a guideline for what level youths you should keep and which you should fire?

Concetrate on passing pace and tech for winger and those 3 with pm and defence for center mids, you certainly don't need more atm , and you only get 0.5 point for striker on mids

Quite alot i'd get 3 x outstanding when you can afford it, so no a single solid is way of the mark

i'd fire anyone thats not going to be 19 or under when they leave and anyone thats poor and under that couldnt get to formidable but not unless they are 16 or 17 when they leave then lesser is worth keeping.

I'd also get a outstanding youth coach when u can afford it... and make sure what you are training the main coach is unearthly in that skill.

I'll answer a couple

Scoring on a mid is perhaps occasionally nice but I wouldn't bother much - ALL the other outfield skills are more important for a mid.

The def % tells you how much a certain player contributed to your teams defensive actions - against a bad opponent your mids and strikers will do a lot of this but against a good team your defenders will be getting more practice.

Get 3 roughly equally skilled assistants. 3x solid isn't a bad place to start - improve towards 3x outstanding or incredible as you get to be able to afford their wages.

To add to that , you can pick up formidable & excellent coaches for next to nothing (in the coach transfer market) & there wages are pretty low, but make sure you check the average wages for a coach of that quality they do differ alot.

So if it was me in your position i'd get 2 x formidable and 1 x excellent to give you an overall of formidable for your coaching assistants, and a formidable junior coach, i'd then buy, train and sell a player every 6-8 weeks or so to balance your books.... & evetually make some decent £

I will use this topic because I have a silly question. I don't know why but I can watch a 3D match but not a 2D. Should I download some programme to do it? How you do it?

I don't think so, 3d is better I used to prefer 2d but now I never watch it, so nothing to worry about 3d is a lot better :)

I played few years ago and I like 2d because you can see better your tactic. I would like at least have an option between this to way to watch a match. Should I use Modzilla?

I use firefox and it works for me. However, this is quite tempermental, as I can't get firefox to work on my father-in-laws computer (when we are on holiday), but, chrome works on his. Yet, I can't get chrome to work on mine, go figure!?!

Did you download any add on, plug-in, say magic words or make magical tricks? :)

I made a pact with the devil, maybe it has something to do with that? ;-)
