that's what I thought the reason was, but I've just noticed that one of my forwards playing for my main team got 40 and then I played him as a midfielder and he again got a 40! So there's possibly not much difference between forward and midfield then? My defenders always seem to get much less of a rating though.

In this case i would assume your striker has high tech, and a bit of pass or playmaking too... you can get many youths with odd skills ..like high in def and striker. Thats why users value players who get the right skill set in their Juniors.

Thanks for that. Well, in order to move my juniors around and in order to try and ascertain where they should play I've devised a 433 formation for my juniors. Tbh, I rather like the look of it and depending on how it goes I might let my seniors have a go with it at some point too!

Please dont judge a formation or tactics performance based on a Junior match! Juniors have tactical discipline in this game nor in real life too...

Surely, it would show if it was completely useless though?

I have a soft spot for my first 16 yr old trainee already given that we both share the same first name :-)

I believe keeper ratings are best at telling you whether they will be a good pull (as long as your keeper gets possession) - as in essence single skill player

2 junior matches played and two 1-0 wins ... nice :-)

And in the second of those matches my defending was rated as Hopeless ... lol ...

Pulled the first junior from my youth school this morning. Weak pap but I wanted to see the kind of thing that you get. Firing them quick smart before his mum finds out ;-)

Actually, I hope I get some juniors to turn up on Sat as I currently only have 11 juniors but that includes 2 keepers. If none show, I'll have a keeper playing as an outfield player in my junior team on Tuesday ... lol

I had my 2nd 16yr old turn up today. He is rated as Good, but I have 33 weeks to wait to see if he is indeed any good!

thats what you want mate with them kind of 16 year olds! you just have to wait and see if he is talented now, as he will be joining your squad just as he turns 18 :)
