Hi All... Fairly new to the game

I've discovered a pretty decent money making scheme, and now that I have the resulting cash to blow, I want to know a few things:

Basically, I want to build some new stands. After much research into the forums, apart from figuring out thats its way too early to think about roofing, it seems pretty inconclusive as to what the best course of action is... By looking at my current attendance records, it seems that despite the higher ticket prices, the bench stand is still the only stand that gets sold out every week.

I read somewhere that like in real life, some fans prefer seating areas, some prefer benches and some prefer standing... but also many users seemed to have dismissed that, and said that fans will always head to the poshest area of the stadium first until they are sold out

Others have said that fans seek out bargains, and go for the cheapest tickets first (which seems untrue to me based on my records)

Alternatively, Should I simply forget building any more, stick to what I have, and raise the ticket prices accordingly?

Any advice would be appreciated, so please vote and advise :) Thank you

Crikey - you made a nice bit of money on one of your first purchases..

I can't even begin to answer your question - my fans hate me and the feeling is mutual.. I should probably take the roof off and hope they drown.

The 6th one best fits how SK works.

Fans have a designated "minimum" for what type of ticket they buy. So some fans will be happy standing. The ones that stand will then opt for the lowest price seat quality they can get. Others will only accept full seats. If your seats are full or there are no seats then they won't attend. If you have multiple blocks of a certain type of seats, generally the cheaper ones will fill up more than the more expensive. Having for example some seats at £1 and others at £10 does not mean that the £10 ones will be empty though.

Looks like he went in and trained keepers early.

A fairly wise choice. What I'd probably do for the for the first 6 months if I started again.

Maybe.

Also good to look at others stadia to get a feel on what makes sense.

But remember don't over expand as you pay every week based on size...

Thanks for the positive feedback guys :)

So would it be fair to say that it would be better to buy a variety of seating areas?

Less of an onus as there was in the past as you can always increase ticket prices. I imagine there is probably an optimum ticket price that doesn't put fans off from coming, no idea what that is though.

Me neither. I've only dabbled a little in that area. My gut feeling is there is a fine line when upping them.

For example, I was selling out at one stage but then upped em by a couple of quid and think I only ended up half filling it.

Obviously there are other factors when it comes to attendance.

Personally and to summarise, go with upping the ticket prices for now. If you find that you hit a cap then upgrade and go for seats along the side.

i did that analysis when in III, I need to check if the same now in II.....

I did go for keepers... Seemed like a good way to make money... I switched to defenders now though... Wondering if this was a bad idea?

Moving away from keepers now is definately a good idea. As for what to move too, I've always said midfielders purely because it's all I've ever trained and there is usually good money.

But you need top coaches for MID's, so DEF's is probably a wise choice as only 2 main skills to train.

Little apprehensive as to their market value these days though.

Strikers are always good options but you are limiting the amount of training slots.

a WISE choice considering the pros and cons and your relative newness to the game, I would say the best choice!

Thats what I thought with defenders... 2 main skills to train, and 5 slots per game! Everyone needs defenders I guess!

Also, Im looking to sign a new coach who is 83 years old... Will he ever like, die or anything?
