Qstarw [del] an Alle
First how much money do I get for promotion in III?
Second...I see III league is quite tough my average mark is low at the moment and was thinking is it good to promote with the risk of getting relegated next year or should I be patient and w8 untill next season?

i would always say if you can promote. even if you know you will get relegated next season. as you could always just save the additional 40k from sponsor income you make more than your probably getting now. that as well as inflated ticket prices. :) then when / if you go down again you will have a very nice cash fund to go back up again, this time staying.

that or the alternative root of spend the money when you get it. ;)

i was in your problem 2 seasons ago, and in my opinion get put in the hardest div III to stay up in (not a single weak team) think the lowest average mark was 45. but i still managed to stay up. so there's no reason why you can't promote, then try your best to stay up ;)

what i'm saying is always try to promote. then deal with your problems when you get there, and do what you think is right, and enjoyable to you ;)

thx for the reply...and good luck ...maybe I will join your league... :) any tips? weak spots?

if you want to survive as the weakest team in a league what i recommend doing is playing very defensively with with a quality striker and service player (attacking mid) to him so he gets the ball as well / fast as he can. that and ensure you have at least an formidable keeper, (would recommend and outstanding)

by doing this you should keep your goal difference low, if you don't let any goals you you will always at least draw. to stay up if you get 7 points and good goal difference you should be safe. to do this you only need 2 wins and a draw.

or 1 win and 4 draws ;) if the ultra defensive works (if got 0-0 draws with people getting 10 higher than me in ratings before)

My keeper is formidable with formidable pasing and solid pace (training pace next season) but cant seem to get him to a good form....best I did was average and then he got injured :((...now we are to unsatisfactory...I hate his form :(...as for playing defensive...its not my strong point...but will have to learn it at some point...I am using offside trap at the moment (have deff with incredible pace) and works in this lower league and cup...did ok...

play how you want to play. i'm just giving you what worked for me. oh yer, incredible pace is faster than my defenders. but my striker would also run rings around them ;)

if you do promote i wish you the best of luck :) and it might be worth selling the keeper then and buying one that's in form. and if you come into my league the best of luck. would love more people to talk to.

If I keep my curent position I am either in your league replacing romulusy or stokie...
2011-09-29 13:19:40
romulusy might get a point of me in the last game of the season as my best attacking mid has a red card, so i might only get 1 goal past him, so its likely we could draw :(

Ah, I remember him from my IV. Had rubbish tactics. But too strong for my then 19yos.

the one center back makes it easier ;)
2011-09-29 23:28:35
With my team, I'd pummel him now. I've been impressed, in three seasons I've gone from barely grabbing 7th with marks of around 42, to a solid second and 50+ marks. It is possible to improve rapidly.
2011-09-29 23:33:00
i know it is :) my money is mostly invested in my trainees, however i'm hoping to gain about 4+ on marks for the next 3 seasons. :) then that should be enough to get me into league 2, with my trainees nearly ready to break into the first team. that's the plan anyway.

When I joined Div. III, I played with U21s. My midline from that era is still fairly intact. But, next season, promotion push time.
2011-09-29 23:42:42
you still have a year of playing time on me though ;) but i hope to be promoting in 3/4 seasons.

(my midfield is all 20/21 year olds still) with 18 year old subs ;)
2011-09-29 23:48:45
its tougher for me as im in the toughest div 3 of the lot, you guys have it easy!

i thought my league was the same difficulty as yours? :P or has it changed again?
