Thema: Training

2013-09-23 18:34:45
Hi guys,

I have a question regarding training.

I have a 23yr old, who is currently 16/15 for Defending and Pace.
It took him 7 wks to pop his pace and he's already had 3 weeks towards the next pop.

However, at what age will he effectively stop training and does he have a chance to reach Divine in both defending and pace?

... and does he have any chance of getting into the England NT squad or is he already far too behind other players for that?

Thanks.

a talented player will still train up to about 25-26 and it totally depends on his other attributes like playmaking/technique and passing i have a player divine-pace unearthly-def incredible-technique outstanding- playmaking outstanding-passing 24yr old and he isnt in the NT squad on a regular basis

All future stars can now be placed (as soon as you get them) into NTDB...please make this a habbit! There are no more minimum requirements.

Please update U21 English players (even if they did not pop) because I am making a massive update!
You can do that by either sending me a message with their current skills, form and what you are training or by submitting them manually to the NTDB here.

You can also use oSokker (if you have Opera or Firefox). Details on installing are on the website.

Here is the oSokker Firefox addon

Best regars,
Qstarw

P.S. Also add new players (no requirement needed...just age U21)
Lets make a massive NTDB by adding all U21 players...I will then sort them by following progress.

Hi there...now I have a question...

If I play my first lineup in the cup I will win and get trough...but some of my players (I have a few good trainees) will miss training...should I just say screw the cup and the supporters and play the 2nd lineup? or ...go for the cup...to get some more cash?

Opinions welcome...for the time being I chose to train...(I am the U21 NT and should set a good example)

:D

I've basically got the same decision as yourself (as I did in R2 as well).

I've taken the decision to focus on my teams training so if I win through it's probably more luck than judgement! Tbh, I took the same approach in R2 as well and we just about had enough to get through so got the best of both worlds there, so hoping for the same outcome in R3 (but frankly don't care that much) ;-)

It ultimately depends on how much money you can generate from being a home seeded team and how far realistically you think you can get. In your case I would say training would be better. Key thing is not to lose the cup game too heavily though.

I have decided to invest in the future of the team! Promotion is not so good if you do not have prospects in your team and I went all out this time!

I have made good transfers for the future...sold all my little stars (probably would have promoted this year if I kept them) and I purchased my first ever 1.5 mill youth player!

I would advise all lower leagues to do the same as this made the game more interesting...calculating when players will pop and how they will look in 2 seasons...planning on how to train them...made me exited every Thursday when training is updated!

This is what the game is all about...raising young stars and building a competitive team.

Here is my best prospect yet:

1 544 000 £ - Transfer Fee
Rod Hoyles, age 20
value: 232 950 £
wage: 2 790 £
adequate [6] form
height: 182 cm, weight: 69.1 kg,
BMI: 20.87

good [7] stamina unsatisfactory [2] keeper
very good [9] pace magical [15] defender
weak [4] technique excellent [10] playmaker
weak [4] passing solid [8] striker

I am hoping next season he will look like this:

very good [9] stamina unsatisfactory [2] keeper
outstanding [12] pace magical [15] defender
average [5] technique excellent [10] playmaker
weak [4] passing solid [8] striker

And in 2 seasons:

very good [9] stamina unsatisfactory [2] keeper
unearthly [16] pace unearthly [16] defender
good [7] technique excellent [10] playmaker
weak [4] passing solid [8] striker

If he gets some random pops ...I will be thrilled!

For your sake I hope your evaluations of where he will be in 2 seasons time come true but if I'm being honest they look a touch optimistic to me.

Is he super talented?

@qstarw: I think your second season skill set is a bit optimistic, i don't think you can get his pace to that level and get the other pops elsewhere.

Certainly i don't think the price is a bargain, maybe a bit robbed. The secondaries are poor, so it would be hard to make much of a profit on him without directly training those.

I like your style though, train those English youngsters!

For comparison, this guy was just bought for about £150k less than you bought your guy for:

Ionel Haralambie, age: 24

club: bulldogs, country: România,
value: 9 586 000 kn, wage: 110 600 kn,
brilliant form, weak tactical discipline,
height: 186 cm, weight: 79.8 kg, BMI: 23.07
bookings:
formidable stamina tragic keeper
magical pace divine defender
adequate technique average playmaker
excellent passing adequate striker

so pretty similar to your projections, but a year or two older.

I have a question regarding training. I'm not sure if my question will be terribly clear though?

But, here goes ...

Is it better to effectively train one player and to just accept the other pops on the other players that get trained at the same time.

Or is it better to train the positions for set periods of time so that your players are more rounded without having one player being any more important than the others.

However, I'm guessing it's probably something in between ...

Thanks,
Troy

I'm fairly sure that I don't want to train defenders anymore. I just haven't quite worked out what I want to do about it though? There's no rush as I'm currently training pace, so any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
2014-06-01 17:23:21
I've always tried to make my players rounded, but that's just my personal preference. Basing your training around one player isn't the most cost effective though, and i was so excited when i pulled Bensted i based my training around him.

Really, you want to train your most talented handful of players in the skills they need, and if they all need different ones, then ideally you need to part with them.
2014-06-01 17:26:21
Thanks, tbh, I'm not sure any of my players are particularly talented.
2014-06-01 17:31:12
Well, in that case just go for the youngest and/or ones with the biggest prospects.

You don't want to be training your best/youngest player in a skill they don't need if a few others do, but on the flipside you shouldn't really go all out just focusing on one player.

It's up to you to balance that :)
