Thema: division III

ok, I'm now in a new league, and would like to stay there. what would most of you say i should try to have in my team to keep me there.

for example. what states do you think my defenders, mids and strikers and goalkeeper will need to servive this season.

Another 10 points average individual marks.

just to stay up! i don't mind having to play a play off. but improving my whole team by that is impossible.

i have a 3x formidable striker. will i have to improve him?

Tactics, tactics and tactics is what will keep you up - clearly better players help though!

Unless you're very unlucky (I haven't checked your new hunting ground) at least 2 or 3 of the managers in your new division will either
a) use default tactics
b) use renamed or barely tweaked default tactics
c) have created their own (rubbish) tactics

You mission is to take advantage of this situation. This does however require that you have already created/know how to create your own tactics...

ive made a few ;) and generally know which of them seem to work better.

btw, how much should be be exspecting from sponser in this league? the same as before or a bit more.

A lot more... irrc I finished in IV with about 30-35k, and started in III at about 60k. However, in the season when I got promoted out of III it had peaked at about 110k.

Health warning: these figures maybe out of date, but the values should still be relative.

thats very nice to know, so if i sold someone now, i could upgrade my staduim. As i was selling out my staduim most game in my old league.

Personally, I wouldn't bother upgrading too much, just enough so that you can take advantage of variable ticket pricing

Don't bother with seats (more expensive too build) just build some more terraces and/or benches then hike the prices to max your return.

Big crowds might be nice, but imho it's about generating revenue rather than bums on seats when you first start in III...

This is very good advice if you don't need to buy replacement players straight away... otherwise its all relative as the better players you'll need are also likely to be more expensive.

Correct. Usually I prefer to sell in the beginning of the season and then to buy in the second part of it... but this is a good strategy only if you can wait such long time and don't need urgent replacements.

Saying that, with a lot of players listed, some slip under the net - my best player cost me 137k in silly season, is now almost 3x outstanding on his left side :)

i know what you mean. my 2 best buys where in silly seasons, and they both must be woth over 300k and i got one of them for 16k i think it was.

When I bought him, he was... -3/4 pace, -4/5 tech, -1 passing, -1 pm, -1 defender, -1 striker, and 19/20 border I believe, may have been 18/19 one.
