Not all players have the same talent.

What are you currently training?

What position are you likely to play these players?

i know not all players have the same talent, but i mean assuming they did...

i'm playing them as strikers but i just cant decide which two would be best.. also, i'm gonna be training pace striker and technique over the next three seasons

Hmmm, that's a difficult one to answer correctly without knowing the talent of the individual players. At present the striker tally (pace+tech+striker) for the 4 players are very close.

You have Dobrowolski = 16, Doria = 18, Chovan = 17 and Silverinha = 18. Without knowing their individual talent it would just be an educated guess. You would presume that the two 18pts players would be better by a slight margin but if the 16 or 17pts players are better talented than the 18pts players then their pops would increase more rapidly and therefore be better in the long term.

If you asking for an opinion then.........I would play the 2 x 18pts strikers from the outset and start compiling data on their talent. If any of these players take longer than 4 weeks to pop in either pace or tech then they're not very talented (ok to keep but it will take a while for you to get them to a reasonable level). You really should be looking at a maximum of 3 weeks for these guys to pop at such low levels as poor, weak, average and adequate imo.

At least all 4 are 18yrs old, they should come good in the end, ideally you'd like to have the same guys but at 16 or 17. Price is always an issue with that though :p.

Good luck.

P.S. Other users may not agree with what I've stipulated so please take all advise and make your own mind up. My input is solely from what I've learned and picked up as I've gone along.

thanks, i think i'll play all four of them for about 6 weeks then decide whos worth keeping and who isnt. if theyre all worth keeping, then so be it, but if not....

thanks anyway.

I have a suggestion for you... Why dont you train pace first since you can train 22 players, and during this time you will be able to see who among these are the talented ones which you can go on to train striking? Also have you got a external program? It would help you keep track of their training very much (thus talent) and do remember to have a coach who is unearthly in the skill you are training...

thanks for the tip. and i must admit, i dont see why i didnt think of that myself. :) i think thats what i'll do.

Is an 18 year old solid keeper, or a 17 year old average keeper better as a trainee?
2010-07-27 21:07:54
Depends on secondaries.
2010-07-27 21:10:36
imo depends on talent more - people pay for keeper level - I presume this is what you're training.

If talented definitely take the 17yo and train for 2 seasons in keeper - he'd be worth a packet as a fresh 19yo

Go for 18 year old if he is cheaper ... cause You are going to train pace first right? THen once you get his pace up (and ALL your other 22 players too) you will find him reselling for quite a lot even without keeper training. If you train him in keeper after that then he would sell for a very decent amount.

Ofcourse you training him would depend on whether his talent was good, which you can figure out while you training pace right?
