How is best to sell a player? Should i let the auction start at £0 and let it build up or should I put in a minimum fee?

Most will say zero but i'm an advocate of listing for minimums depending on the type of player and whether you are prepared to let him go below the odds.

If you have a genuinely good player or talented junior then try a transfer advert or an [S] post in the 'Transfers England' forum to see if you get any interest. Otherwise, its personal perference with setting minimums.

Setting a minimum means you won't lose based on what you think the player is worth ...but you may over-value your player, so get no bids and have wasted the listing fee (not good if money is tight).

Also (imo) minimums can put potential bidders off because they feel there is less opportunity of a bargian, so they look elsewhere.

Ultimately, there's no right or wrong answer...

Paweł Praszelik , age 22
value: 186 150 £
wage: 1 530 £
divine form
bookings:
poor stamina tragic keeper
incredible pace excellent defender
adequate technique poor playmaker
adequate passing average striker

This is the player im selling at the end of the season. I train defenders so have others to take over. I appreciate he isnt a world beater but a decent player for this level. I need the cash to clear my overdraft and hoping for abit extra to reinvest on more youth.
Ill try and posting it in the transfer forum and see if i get a responce.

Steeler's is pretty much bang on. I have only fairly recently used minimum prices to list my players. Ideally you need to know the market, and it can be particularly useful for untalented young players with good distributions in my opinion.

Generally though, and in your case, i'd list for £2 whenever you like as i don't think you will get particularly more listing that player at a certain time, and you're losing money in your overdraft anyway.

There are loads of players on the list similar enough to Pawel to make advertising pretty pointless

I was hoping for 200k for him and anything more would be a bonus. What time of day and what day of the week are best to put the player up for sale?
