JuicyBeef [del] an Alle
Hi

I am currently second in my league. Me and top team are very equal and each have the chance to go up. I am considering selling a couple of my old good players who score me goals as i am not looking to go up for a couple of seasons. I just wanted to know if anyone could estimate how much money i would get for the both of them and if its worth selling them to put the money into better youth players (depending on the money they sell for)

Player 1 :

Hugo Modesto , age 28
value: 102 900 £
wage: 1 425 £
brilliant form
bookings:
formidable stamina tragic keeper
very good pace unsatisfactory defender
very good technique weak playmaker
adequate passing adequate striker

His average mark is 35-40 each game played 60 games, 30 goals, 15 assists.

Player 2 :

Jonasz Ziętara , age 28
value: 82 050 £
wage: 1 560 £
poor form

formidable stamina hopeless keeper
excellent pace good defender
adequate technique average playmaker
unsatisfactory passing solid striker

Players average mark is again 35-40 playerd 42 games, 24 goals, 11 assists

i understand these players arent great but they are very good for me. how much would i get for themn and isit worth selling to spend the money on youth players or anything else? any advice :)

I think between them they're worth about £50k, maybe a bit more if you leave it until the week after end of season bonuses which is what i would suggest. By the looks of things I'm guessing you're training midfielders but you seem to be playing the same 5 in friendlies as well as league matches?

I'd say with the money you get from these two and the bonus money to invest in five more trainees that you can play in firendlies to maximise training and with anything left over you might want to expand your stadium a bit to bring in a bit of extra cash in the long term.

Hope this helps :)

i am currently training pace and have started playing the trainees in all the games, mainly because i am winning games easily and dont mind playing the younger players for league matches. I have some decent young players which are starting to get more pops as i recently upgraded to 'very good' assistant coaches. I have two hopefull keepers in the juniour school, both 17 one rated 'good and the other 'adequate' so will keep training pace when they come out.

thanks for help will bare it in mind

=)

If you're training pace then it is probably worthwhile flogging all old players (over 23 or perhaps even less) and focusing on 22 youngsters. It's a long term methods as you'll lose consistently for a while but have the cash later.

You do have a main coach with high pace I take it?

could anyone tell me how much i would get for this player? i am thinking of selling him now depending on his value?

Fırat Önal , age 20
value: 154 950 £
wage: 1 200 £
superdivine form
bookings:
very good stamina hopeless keeper
formidable pace (+5) hopeless defender
weak technique unsatisfactory playmaker
formidable passing average striker

Not a lot. Odd mix of skills. He is fast and can pass but no playmaking, no shooting or defending.

pace and passing on their own aren't worth much

probably best to get rid of him and buy someone to train with worthwhile skills

strikers need: pace, tech and striker
defenders need: pace and defence (and preferably passing, tech and pm)
Midfielders need: pace, tech, passing, pm and preferably defence

so if you're training pace you need to either:

find trainees with the other skills already and bring their pace up to standard
or
find trainees with at least a bit of the other skills needed for their position with the intention of training the other skills up after pace.

this can all be expensive
I guess the cheapest pace trainees are guys with defence and not much else.
but try to get a bit of passing, pm and tech... weak looks nicer than tragic when you come to sell them

He might start to look like a winger with 2 seasons of tech training and another of playmaking. But currently he is a turnover machine. The playmaking will have him hold the ball for too long and the tech will get him stripped.

I doubt you would get more than 100k usd.

Yeh that is what I am hoping to do.. I decided to get as many pops of pace as possible while he is still 20 I Shud POP to outstanding pace next training. I will train tech and pm as they will train quicker than pace when gets older if I am correct? I was thinking of training him to become a striker when tech is higher what sort of levels Shud I get him up to for pm and tech?

cheers

Mate, I would not train him to be a striker since the passing would be somewhat wasted. To make him a decent striker you need to upgrade two key attributes, tech and striker all the way up to outstanding at least.

That will take 4 full seasons, two of each to get those 7-8 pops.

So he will be 24 going on 25 and be more or less at 3x outstanding in his key attributes (pace, tech, att). That is a good striker but not a great one. He'll be a touch slow and the tech isn't high enough to run at good defenders.

On the other hand, if you turn him into a winger you already have a jump up on one of the key attributes, passing. With two seasons of tech training you will be around outstanding, and with 1 season of PM you will be around good-solid.

So at 23 he will be just about 3x outstanding in key attributes. With the playmaking at a reasonable level for that position. Then you can use his 24yr old season to upgrade one or two of his key attributes, maybe pace and passing up to brilliant or something like that.

At that point he'll be 24-25 and look like a proper winger. Not a world beater but definitely worth more than a 3x outstanding striker, in my opinion.

ok Yeh I see what your saying.. so doing what you say how much you think I would sell him for as a trained winger?

I don't really know what the market for wingers is, but if he was 25 with say brilliant pace and passing to go with outstanding tech and solid playmaking, my guess would be about 1.25 million USD.
