Thema: Need a small cash injection?

2009-02-22 20:38:34
No problem ramer...i will update this thread in a bit, but is there anybody who doesn't have a friendly for this week lined up yet (i can see all volunteers in this thread have) as i have a request from a new user for one?

His username is DJJUT; if you have a nice stadium please send him an invite. When you do, let me know so i can help him accept it.

Cheers all.

I want to say a BIG THANK YOU to all the pro's with big stadium's involved in this "project" on behalf of the newb's and DIV IV'ers for your help and thanks jimmy for taking the initiative.

:)

GOO England!

Norwich City is now building it's stadium to 10202 seats & a total capacity of 30903

I know we are not the best Div III team, but I will play any Div IV team to help them get some cash

Well done DJ - this is a very good inititive to help out IV teams & keep them buzzing

No problem guys, but clearly we are not finding enough IV teams that read Newbie England! I have allocated the matches in the fairest way possible (rotating the volunteers and putting in the IV teams first come, first served) but if the volunteers want to make there own minds up on who they play, that is fine, i just thought i would put a bit of structure behind it.

@distanthatter - bearing in mind the above problems, i'd be happy to include struggling III teams, but would like to put IV teams as the priority if it comes to it.

I've won my cup game so my friendly will need to be reassigned.

Cheers

Thanks guys, i've reshuffled the scheduling...could be interesting to see if this will work...not getting much exposure at the moment!

Anybody who knows of people in IV or struggling III sides that they may have brought to the game or know etc, try and get them to post here please!

Thanks NCFC, I did not see it so I have proposed and sent invite to you now.. :)

Thanks for playing; really you guys are going to help us DIV IV'ers a lot.
Jimmy, There are 2 new guys in my league and I have already sent them mail but so far no response sadly no response ; good news is they do log in regularly.

i have to say i have found playing in a friendly league much more profitable than individual games, just that the flow is fortnightly instead of weekly. worth noting that you will get a better fan turnout for teams that are topping their league - often it is better to play no.1 in a div IV league than no.8 in div III. Huge stadiums are fine, but you will not fill them. often a smaller stadium that is mostly seats is just as good as a bigger one. Teams that have been on e.g. a 3 game winning streak have high fan mood so high turnouts... etc etc.

not having a pop at this idea, just giving people something to think about.
2009-02-26 13:43:11
Absolutely regarding seats. It's not the bigger stadiums but the more seats and better fan mood. I think the volunteers we have fulfil that criteria. Also, your idea about friendly leagues is flawed because only the home team gets the dosh, so a IV team with a 3100 stadium aint gonna earn much at all.
2009-02-26 13:46:47
except that they may well fill the stadium, therefore earn as much as for a home league game. As for the volunteers - sure, for now, bit the run of luck could easily change etc. as i said not having a pop just painting a fuller picture of the options
2009-02-26 13:51:03
Of course, i nearly said to NCFC, shall we just let the Prem and II teams do it as we don't have the best stadiums, but this is why i have laid everything out in the opening thread, in blue. For your info, i had 4000+ fans in my match last night...which has obviously netted the guy more cash than 2 friendly league, and I am only a III side. Even poor form II sides should generate enough cash to make it worthwhile.

Can someone else take the T-man slot, my mate has asked for a friendly (he is low level too)??
2009-02-26 14:31:09
If any newish team fancies a friendly at my place, I'm on the list. Get around 6500 fans generally.
On the list now.
