Toyota for sure... It's higher quality, especially if it is japan made. German cars are also one of the best in a world, but Opel... It was under GM, new generation of their cars are good (Insignia, Corsa, Astra) but Toyota is still No.1 in quality.
Thanks men!!
I also like the Auris, but I have heard bad reviews about the electric part of the car? It is that true???

I agree.
Engineering is better. Nothing falls apart after a few months.
Maybe fuel consumption is a little bit worse, but the feel is of a real car and not a match box.

In every 100 cars are few "bad". Check TUV tests if you want see best cars in reliability. The best car in this is Toyota Corolla Verso. Toyota Auris is 2nd most certain car after driving 100 000 km (lees problems had only Audi A2 in his class). Between 2-3y old cars is Opel Astra on 48th place with 4,4% problems per 46 000 km.
These tests do NOT take into consideration who is driving these cars.
People who buy Toyota's, at least in the west, buy it as their second car, or a car for young people who care about it and invest in it all the time.
The Opel is usually a first line car and used by people who care less, thus perhaps more malfunctions.
