Thema: Fans mood... Bug?
ok, so let's forget about the Italian cup for the moment...
only serie A:
goal of the fans at the beginning of the season: 2°
result: 4°
mood result: total failure...
total failure and the fans' mood collapsed to the lowest level...
I think is totally exaggerated.
if fans goal is 2° and result is 3° or 12°, still the same fans result: total failure...

It has to be a bug imo. I'm currently 6th, finished 6th last season. My expectations are top half of table, and same for last season.
Fulfillment now: total failure
Fulfillment last year: goal achieved

If the recent matches expectation is the old mood unchanged then it will dependant on your fan size vs your opponent fan size. Whoever has more will have the expectation of winning, you can see this in the studio I believe before a match. The further the gap in fans the bigger/lower the expectations. Depending on how much you either meet or fail to meet those expectation will impact the current fan mood (taking into account the type of match). That’s if it works exactly the same as before with no changes.
Fan size is a terrible metric to judge results by. You'd have thought they'd use rank, ratings, even money instead. Fan Size just punishes the older clubs, which I guess is the point.
I really wish this game would stop focusing on bringing the big clubs down, and instead focus on bringing the smaller clubs up.

Fan size is a better metric than ranking. Ranking is even worse. You just need to keep winning games regardless of strength of the opponent and ranking goes up. Therefore rank also falls into that category. It’s no metric for team strength. In additional how does rank work across world leagues when we don’t play other sides as often as we do our own nation teams? Poland top league is clearly harder then say Australia’s top league and therefore their ranking pts may not necessary be any reflection when comparing across world leagues. At least fan club size does that to an extent.
Everything was centred around the one metric which was fan club size. Fan club size grew depending on supporter mood how many fans you had vs how many the rest of your league had. Fan size then determined things like gate receipts/sponsorship amounts as well. So in effect it restricted/put a cap on what top teams could earn whilst also accelerating weaker clubs in stronger divisions.
So it did both whilst also putting a soft limit on fan club sizes in general.
Only area it failed was in the case of bots which didn’t gain fans or teams which increased on strength quickly. However, the latter eventually rebalances out.
Since fan size is a slow increasing metric (well aside from when you have a lot less then everyone else) it’s a fairly good indication of length of time playing and how well results have been going. It’s a reasonable metric that isn’t easily manipulatable on a week to week basis.
It’s weakness now is that supporter mood has now been destroyed effectively and fan club calculation left unchanged. Hence why you’re seeing weird scenarios of new users winning everything but losing fans rather than gaining them.

Well yes. That’s because you would have to have close to the highest fan size for your league or a lot higher than most in your league.
I am a small club and much less old than the rest of the league, they have at least 200-300 more fans than me
It doesn’t matter if you are a small club or a new club.
You joined in 2022, I have a team since 2005 and you have more fans than my team. You’re probably close to max fanclub for your current country level.

Yeah it’s possible others have more but doubt they’d have a lot more than what you have. Also if you have a lot of teams with lower fan bases in your league that will also make it harder for the teams with more fans to keep gaining fans until the lower ones catch up.
Hey fellas, i played this season above expectations, in my office it still shows that i’m above expectations, but this week i lost a friendly match and my fan mood dropped, i evrn lost a supporter. This new system is just bonkers…
It’s also possible you won a league match but not by enough so lost fan mood off that and it wasn’t enough to see a drop in level but was still a drop. Then that would make the friendly seem like it dropped a lot when it may have only dropped a little but you noticed the level drop?
I mean I’m purely speculating here because you haven’t really given any details about specific % changes in fan expectations or what your league match expectations were.

Come on man, the new system should be aimed at balancing things out between all clubs, not favorising the countries with more leagues…
In real life, fans don’t give a damn about a friendly match, but they do give a damn about if you win their top teir league. Even in Slovenia ;)

It has always been like that.
But agree that every competition should have different weight.
Similar for NT. Different weight for each competition although in this case we need more official matches
