"The thing is that you do not have to strive to have a team that can compete in the CC. In your country, having a 60 rating team will probably be good enough to get you to top 3 of your country. You're still miles and miles away from the older teams, and thank god that that difference is there! Imagine playing for 20 irl years, having a strong team and then getting overpowered by teams that barely play a couple seasons. I recon THAT would make me leave the game!"

dude just floats though, that's the thing. His performance should be a lot better than it is. :)
My team is grossly inferior yet it performs, because unlike most of America, I don't suck at tactics.

A 60 rating will get you top 6, ratings at this level I find are deceiving, since it seems there are many positions where high scores can hide real player skill weaknesses, or are padded by subskills (think, defender for example) My team is REALLY not very good. I don't have a single magical skill in my entire midfield, nor a single divine defender or 2x unearthly. My goalkeeper, when I joined season before last (ML) was brilliant.

edit: It's been also suggested to me that better tactics seem to boost player scores in some cases, but I am not sure on this.

The problem is that you are - from my point of view - not building a team. You are cutting corners by buying lower price old 34+ players that are usable for 2 seasons.

It only partially works because of low level in USA, in big countries that strategy would work max at ~4th league level depending on country.

Btw. yes it is possible to pin down the talent of a 16yo, there’s a huge difference between top, good and average talents. Easiest to determine in pace training. In other skills it’s mostly about 1 training full pops one after another.

I AM building a team. The problem comes when you promote to ML three seasons too early.

This season I have 5 of my 6 first gen trainees in the starting lineup now. The last is going to be a longer term project due to extra emphasis on secondaries (and bought at 19). This gen is incredibly flawed and limited. I didn't remember a whole lot when I returned, and being poor I had to compromise between age of first trainees and winning. Because I hate losing.

Re: 16 year olds, they aren't really commonplace earlier in the season. You see more around midseason, and without getting into major details, your best guess is going to be total skills on releae.

Well 16yos are where you can get lucky.
I just got one today.

Grzegorz Fras, age: 16
club: The Evil`s, country: Polska
value : 58 000 zł
wage: 1 900 zł
very good [9] form
tragic [0] tactical discipline
height: 174 cm, weight: 76.6 kg, BMI: 25.3

tragic [0] stamina tragic [0] keeper
unsatisfactory [2] pace weak [4] defender
poor [3] technique poor [3] playmaker
poor [3] passing unsatisfactory [2] striker

Looks… well rather not very good right?
Thing is last season I bought one (1) mid skill better one in week 4 of season. Now he has mid sumskill 30 (+14) and is one of the best in his age.

Oreste Chiriţă, age: 17
club: The Evil`s, country: România
value : 302 000 zł
wage: 3 000 zł
superdivine [18] form
excellent [10] tactical discipline
height: 165 cm, weight: 58.3 kg, BMI: 21.41

average [5] stamina tragic [0] keeper
good [7] pace adequate [6] defender
average [5] technique good [7] playmaker
average [5] passing unsatisfactory [2] striker

And yes, it is a lot about luck with 16yos in regard to their talent, particularly the early ones.

My point is, with 16yo you can get for low price a player that you would be unable to buy as a 17yo or older due to high price.

fair enough, yeah.

Unfortunately for your theory, it is not theory what I say about retention of plus users.

In Australia, we had a very strong community. Once a few key managers had to leave, it created an avalanche of users leaving, which left just agbell, vivski, cometer and uber left, but eventually the last 3 leaving due to lack of activity. All that left in this avalanche were plus users, and they left due to a few key cogs leaving.

When I returned, it was just agbell left and he actually stated, he was about to leave due to boredom. Won many titles unopposed, which came after many two horse race titles.

Since I came back, it has meant he has stayed, creating 7 years of plus membership they would have missed out on.

Along with me coming back, I pulled back in to the game 2x worth of referral plus memberships (I think that's 20 odd people). This includes bringing cometer back, vivski back, fantum back, all who were previously plus users and all who haven't bought plus because each change has been a kick in the guts for small country users, but all whom have the means to be able to buy it if the changes are positive. If I didn't bring them back and keep them here, there wouldn't even be a chance of getting plus from them.

As far as those who do have plus. I am in regular contact with Cisco, blahoja and majortinkle, helping and keeping it exciting.

Have good community leaders brings people to the game, and more importantly, keeps people playing, who then also bring more people to the game.

In a game when 95% or more people make a team and leave, my current retention rate of those I brought back/as new, is sitting at approximately 30-40% that I know of, which is huge compared to 5%.

I can only bring people to the game, and keep people interested in playing, it's up to the developers to make it worthwhile for people to buy plus. But when key people leave countries, it causes big flow on effects meaning people leave including people wtmith current plus or future plus holders.

I have no issues buying plus again if they stop continually hurting small countries, I don't give money for free, they have advertising for that, something I have always been in favour of them using. I will also not buy plus if they try to corner NT managers in to buying it. I will simply just leave as I get bored watching international managers come in and mess up our NT (Aus u21 was in the 60s in rank before I took over and I have raised it to rank 28 as of this moment)

"each change has been a kick in the guts for small country"

This exactly.

Player salary change, made it way harded for a small country to compete in Champions Cup.
Gap between a team from a big and a small community has never been that huge.

This fan expectations change, it cut the sponsorhip money by another 10-15% for our leauge.

I love what you did with the training system. Made me love the game even more.

The other changed were just forced, with no regard for smaller communities.

With no New users who will come and stay there is no future .

Once again what do you plan to do to bring New users and try to keep them stay?
(Edith war hier)
2024-07-08 03:30:56
That's just it. There's little to keep new users here.
It even took great effort from norbert1987 ( our U21 coach) to get me hooked for good last year.

I try and reach our to any new user I notice logging in consistently and offer help. Almost no one responds.

I'm willing to help grow this game, but I have no resources to efficiently do so.

I am a new user. Where can I get beginner's advice on how to play this game? Also, I am spending 20k per week on my Junior Academy, how can I shut it down?

I'm online a lot during the week ( WFH).
