The problem with not using the transfer market, is that you can't make any money.

My issue is I'm basically a top 5 team in my country now after just a few seasons, but every dollar I take in is being funneled into the positions on defense I didn't train.
This game wants me to achieve, but doing so means I need to basically rely on the YS lottery for any meaningful residual income.

I'm of half a mind to just nuke it all and start over next season now that I can use proper training from the start...but hey, changes in the game are to promote competitiveness. How am I supposed to really compete when a team like Atlantic of Vegas can buy 10 million dollar players whenever they want. You basically can't. Even if I restart, there's no reliable source of income that won't get used for the most part in 'competing'.

The biggest problem I see with many of these recent and upcoming changes isn't so much they are inherently bad for the game, but they continue to punish newer teams.
hell, take someone like Blue or me out of the equation. For each of us there are 10, 20? American teams who come in here, log in twice and leave because either they are overwhelmed, or realize after a couple weeks they are basically boned from the start - so why play?

I can relate from a small country as well but that wasn’t what I was directly replying to. I agree with you entirely about new users being shafted but you have a better chance in the current structures than you did in the old structures of at least progressing quicker. More revenue a week with fixed costs that haven’t adjusted with the increase of revenue allow for easy stadium upgrades/coach upgrades etc. However, yeah being able to financially compete with older established teams is harder than it’s ever been due to inflation and sheer time spent accumulating wealth.

The new training system doesnt actually make this any better or worse for accessibility in the worst case but actually potentially can be better if you can promote juniors from your own youth system (and I’m not even talking about the real lucky pulls, even average pulls can get you off to a decent start). Gets your initial set of trainees to train and sell on for hopefully small change that in turn opens up some of the transfer market to reinvest into players which are better than what you had previously. It’s just a cycle of working through what you can afford and then that unlocks the next layer up until some point you can afford the most profitable (not the most expensive) trainees.

Okey, i need to admit that i was wrong. There was one positive:

NT coaches seeing skills.

Although that is a positive only for NT coaches, still is a positive change.

one negative also is for me NT friendly bonus training , they remove injury from friendly. it was better for small country which every 2 season play only friendly games like our country with 13 users.. (4 of them start last season )

NT coaches seeing skills.

NT « Assistant plus » coaches seeing skills.

Free users will never paid just to play NT, It won't bring in more subscriptions, It just keeps free users away from NT. Nothing positive in the end, it’s just help the slowly death of NT communities, which was an interesting part of the game…

Its till better than before. So i would pass it as positive.

Non-Plus users still can use the DB systems that are out there. Although i would like to deprecate it :-).

Yes, in this game you make best money on training. You can turn 1 million into 10 millions in a matter of 8 weeks (an optimistic scenario) - and that's just one training spot out of 10. It's entirely possible to make a realistic profit of 20-30 millions in a season.

But you invest in your 1st team instead of investing into training, so you get stronger first team now, while if you invested money & pitch time into youths you'd have to wait for results - although the result would have been better. Matter of choice, you get rewarded with more ticket/sponsors money and more emotions now.

And if NT coaches can't be bothered to be PLUS users, well it's on them.
It was a feature created solely for the NT coaches to make their life easier and it made it MUCH easier. If they can't appreciate it by buying a plus? Well then what's the point of making any changes for such users.
2024-07-03 12:21:26
I partly agree. As you have correctly said, it's only 1 feature. So, it will be fair to adjust Plus price for that feature. Like creating a NT Plus Suscription for 1/3 of the original Plus price, for example.

Actually it also helps devs by reducing the reliance people have on external applications and it helps users by not constantly having the NT coach in their ear for training updates.

Some NT coaches support by paying for the game, others support by keeping the community active, which keeps more people in the game, which means more people inviting their friends, which means more plus users.

The second option actually results in more money for the devs, so if they make it a plus only feature, they will actually go further towards killing their own income. Simple to see for anyone who has ever played any part in advertising

others support by keeping the community active, which keeps more people in the game, which means more people inviting their friends, which means more plus users

that's a nice theory but I doubt that it works out

look at Australia, there are 4 users with plus at the moment

ciscomic
agbell79
majortinkle
Blagoja

agbell was active on forum many years ago, majortinkle I think I saw once or twice, the other two are completely anonymous to me.
I seriously doubt that "keeping the community active" had any impact on them having plus, they just probably use it for training updates or want to have a logo. or just want to support the game. so yeah, NT&u21 NT coaches having a plus would make up 50% of current plus users in Australia.

many communities are dead anyway, I follow a couple of forums and there's nothing happening there. many have nothing going on as far as NT is concerned, just updates once or twice a season.

I really don't like the devs approach to many things and their general lack of long-term vision for the game, but in this case I really find it hard to blame them. NT coaches asked for years for this feature, the devs finally did create it for them (and every change in this game equals money spent by the owners), and now some NT coaches expect to have it for free, like the whole game. And then people are surprised that the changes are so slow. It's rather hard to invest into the game when there's no money coming in.

I am agree, the problem is larger than this "plus" feature. But it just dont help. Nothing positive.

Originally, NT visible skills was not planned for "plus" only. It is not even well-documented as a "plus" feature.

It's is a great feature ask for year. And now close to a "pay to win" feature.
It is an un-documented "plus" feature that will benefit to only a small part of "plus" users. How does it help to really increase Assistants subscribers ? Ultimately, It's just an ego reward for those who pay.

If this game still work, for the challenge, it still relies on the activity of free users. I dont see any positive point in keeping free users away from NT.

See NT skills is not a pay to win.

But I would say it is the only worth thing now in plus
2024-07-03 15:02:09
It's is a great feature ask for year. And now close to a "pay to win" feature.

It's not a pay to win feature. It doesn't give you any advantage over non-plus users. Doesn't make the team play better etc. A pay-to-win feature would be for example limiting the number of changes in a game or allowing using only 1 tactic instead of 2 for non-plus users.

This feature just makes the life of NT coach easier because he doesn't have to do skills updates manually. Time saver. And that's precisely what a PLUS feature should be. Same as training graphs - you get the same results with or without plus, it's just taking some of your time if you are non-plus.

It is an un-documented "plus" feature that will benefit to only a small part of "plus" users.

And that's precisely why it should be a plus feature.
As you said, they spent their resources (time and money) to create something for a small part of users - NT coaches, which are most of the time same people season after season, just changing countries. So if they did something for such a small group, they should reward the owners with buying plus. That's how these things work in such small game.

Otherwise don't expect changes made for small groups of users...

If this game still work, for the challenge, it still relies on the activity of free users.

Nope, this game still works because it's still financed by plus users. The moment these thousand+ users stop paying, the game will shut down.
2024-07-03 15:03:18
Well, "close to" a pay to win :-)

The only counterweight are external tools. But maintaining DB overtimes it is difficult.. I'm in a good position to know that. Now it's much much easier for "plus" users they can even start a new DB from scratch. Good.

On the contrary, if a non plus NT coach ask skills to owners it's worse than ever : owners answered they dont have to update : skills are visible!
