What about a Sokker App for phones?? That should be a MUST these days!

No point in arguing, you'll always be right... Have a nice time hoping you can last another 5 years.

So why don't you both 'put your money where your mouths are' & trade countries for a defined period, start from scratch; then see who comes out with higher ranked club & better team/squad, along with the better infrastructure.

I know where my bet would go.

You are never going to have equality in this game under the current structures. The nations with the most league tiers will remain strongest. Unless 'the powers that be' are willing to listen to logic & implement change where that logic warrants it....it's the same old scenarios that will play out.

Just an example for you, & correct me if I've got this wrong -

Smaller countries are never going to compete with the 'big nations' whilst they have the current bottom to top model. That is, whatever the amount of layers to the league pyramid, all start at the bottom layer, then work up.

How best to explain? If you're like Oz with 3 levels, & the Pols have 6 levels, everybody starts at level 6 (being the most bottom level) - so by working your way up in Oz with each promotion being equivalent to 1.0, you can only ever get to what the Pols would call level 4 (div 4 if you like). I think that's an accurate take on the current model, as it seems the Oz A league figures etc. are probably around that mark.

So how do Oz managers ever aspire to be on an equal footing with the Polish top flight? Currently, they cannot.

It can only realistically happen if you allow the increase to the next level on a pro rata basis. If Oz managers are starting at level 6 (realistically div 3 in Oz) but only have 3 levels in total, the increase needs to mirror a 2.5 level up, so that by going up 2 actual levels to A League, they increase by the equivalent 5 levels required if you were in the Polish setup (to go from level 6 to 1).

If, as I suspect, this is the current model....the less league tiers your country has, the smaller the chance to be on a level playing field with those counties having a 6 tier league system.

Feel free to correct me, if I have this wrong....although I have figures from various leagues to back this up.

Partially wrong !

A team from Luxembourg, the smallest country in Sokker, won the CC last year !
2020-06-16 15:24:02
You keep using this as your example of all being "fair" despite being shown how wrong your statement is. How about how many teams from small countries have won it? Many users in the game who have been around many seasons, are sitting on a fortune, and could win a one off, but they could never sustain it because they aren't getting the same benefits week in week out.

That's like saying Obama was president, so there is no disadvantage to African-Americans in the USA. We all know that is BS as their average income is lower, their average education level completed is lower, and their life expectancy is lower. There are disadvantages we as society are trying to fix to make up for these inequalities.

One country, that managed to do that as a last harruh before deciding to leave the game is not evidence of it being fair

Again, we come back too, how does a team who has played for 9 weeks, deserve the same or more than a team who is active and played more than 2yrs? The simple answer is they don't, especially as they are just losing anyway, which anyone can do with no good manager skills
2020-06-16 15:43:30
It is funny that you still think that the gap is coming from sponsorship.
As already mentioned by Juytt, it is so meaningless in comparison to the the trading incomes that I really don't understand your fixation.

Whatever we say, we are wrong according to you so keep spamming alone.
2020-06-16 15:54:52
Meaningless in comparison - maybe so, but it is meaningful when you are the one not getting it.

Trading may mean a lot more, but if you are getting a bigger base rate to start, it helps you trade.

If it was meaningless, you wouldn't be fighting so hard to keep your advantage.

We even proved that you are also being overpaid after you tried to say agbell had less fanclub than you, despite him having a lot more.

But hey, if it's meaningless, maybe you should stop fighting so hard to keep your bias advantage, because the little amount it brings in obviously means nothing to you.

And spamming? Looks like you were the one who repeated themselves after being proven wrong with the exact same comment elsewhere.

The question always comes back to:
Does a team who has been around for just one season, and losing their matches, has less fanclub, has less rating, less ranking, deserve more than a team that has been around 2yrs who is active, and strong and winning? And the simple answer is No they do not. But this is how the current system is skewed to help teams from big countries, rather than helping good managers
2020-06-16 16:10:53
This is not a matter of deserving more, these teams just need a little more money to be able to survive in a much more competitive environment. You refuse to understand that, fine, now just let the devs decide with the pro / cons arguments they got from us.
2020-06-16 18:18:08
Partially wrong? Care to explain. You might as well be saying the answer is a pineapple. Your replay explains nothing & doesn't answer my question. It's not a difficult question...is the game's model of tiered system & how it's weighted, as I have outlined or not?

Luxembourg once won the CC means nothing....& saying "partially wrong" without backing it up or disproving what I've outlined, is an empty answer & simply indicates there's nothing to dispel what I've previously stated.

Fact is the playing field isn't level for all....it's not only sponsorship (that's an example which is part of the issue), it's the overall infrastructure & the revenue (or lack of).

The same could be said for small countries. They need a little bit more to compete in the competitive nature of the CC, the National set up, and competing in on the Transfer market against others who are receiving more unfairly in sponsorship, and fairly in gate takings, but you refuse to understand that.

The new teams in big countries would "need a little big more" if all those before them didn't receive a little bit more.

So yes, it is about deserving, they need to work their way up just as a new team in a small country does, and the little bit more they need to compete, will come in the form of gate attendance
2020-06-17 10:34:16
Anybody starting in a country with a league pyramid that has more levels can fast track their increase to the team's status/standing when comparing to a team starting in a smaller country (smaller = less live teams/managers).

....& to say a Luxembourg winning the CC shows there isn't an issue is pure folly. A bit like saying Lee Harvey Oswald was as powerful as a world leading army, owing to him 'wiping' a US president. :)

The fact you take Weekly economy as such a huge thing shows you have no blue how to build a top team. There is just good a chance to do that in smaller countries as in Big, since 95% comes Down to trading and training. However, i am a fan of melting some countries together if They cant create a new uset flow with marketing. Not because it would be easier to build a team(since that is nonsense), but to give more competition and Challenges
2020-06-18 00:13:43
Where have I stated it's a weekly economy?
"shows you have no blue how to build a top team"....you insult yourself, more than you insult me, with such a ridiculous comment. SMH.
My 3rd full season back saw me promote to top flight. If the game is so even & such a challenge....I'd like to see you do better. :)
Acknowledged the game is about long term planning & training plays a key part, but trading has its flaws with the TM being weighted to European time (evening deadlines for most key transfers), so that poses further problems for other continents who have a life outside SK. Maybe non-Euro managers just need to accept & move on to other management games.

Like I said in an earlier post, I have other things to keep me occupied, but do value a debate where I can back my statement with logic, whilst others fire meaningless barbs of wisdom (sic). :)
Posting more to back up a mate & stir a pot that's obviously set like a lump of concrete. Probably why I stopped posting here ages ago....better things to do.

Don't forget, the DEVs also stated they don't want this to be a share market game either (where daytraders win just because they want a sharemarket game).

So getting this sponsorship fixed should be a priority/making sure all countries are on an equal playing field by merging the small countries together.

It's not hard to see why the DEVs made the sponsorship how they did when the game first started, but like any good business, when it is obvious it is causing systemic flaws, something needs to be changed.
2020-06-19 14:04:13
What is small country? 1/3 of sokker is Polska. How big will be merged league?
2020-06-19 15:05:06
I think I said kind of my definition in another thread as to what I'd do with the merging/unmerging of leagues.

My personal thought, but even I can argue for small changing either way, is the if a country can't fill 2 full divisions they should be in a merged league. Then you don't want a countries flip-flopping between merged and unmerged each season so your barrier for merging/unmerging need to be slightly different to allow for fluctuating numbers if they are around the merge/unmerge line.

A team already in a merged league, should be able to half fill division 3 before unmerging. But once unmerged need to drop below two full divisions before getting merged back in again.

At present we don't know what the league structure will be in the new comp, as one of the reasons the DEVs wanted 12 sides is because it can be structured in such a way that it can go 1,4,16,64 like it is now, 1,3,9,36 or 1,2,4,16 - so depending on this, the numbers would change.

As far as how many will be merged. I'd like to think a merged league would be between 100-200 teams approximately, but this could be a little variable based on countries growing and leaving the merged league/shrinking and joining a merged league.

It would probably depend on whether they decided to merge based on FIFA region or on language spoken, or some other parameter (like timezone which would be similar to FIFA region --> The current in game sokker country regions are out of date for some countries).

They may even decide to just have one large merged league although it isn't what I would personally do.

hi all.
good news - game being cared for again. thank you all who made it work.

me < lurker, not poster (sometimes i completely skip posts from one charles hill - is the only name i know in sok forums ;))
from small country - slo
playing for years (a fan of strategy setup! unique and after so many years still amazing). truth to be told - i dont set up no new strategies, prolly cause no need. our 1st league is lame, my only strategy is to financially survive and stay in 1st.

the bigest problem i had was - money. if i don't make a big difference in trading (which i dont) and only rely on normal income, i can sustain an A team with an averege player wage at 10K-€ . The number is not accurate, but in that region. i can maybe afford to have 1 or 2 players at 30-50K and thats it. (i didn't crunch the numbers, they are rough estimation).
-> i don't think any change to the game is needed here

second bigest problem for me is: injuries and red cards. i can stay in slo 1st league without going broke with just a tiny A team player base. when they get a 27 day injury and is 3 of them, the season for me is over.
-> i don't think any change to the game is needed here either, but the referries do make me mad sometimes :) , sometimes my team gets killed (couple injuries, couple cards) but it was all the other team doings (but they got no injuries let alone cards for killing my players) ... :)

third is juniors - i've decided to have them mainly to help our national team with new players. I seem to be investing in it, but not being able/capable of getting the investment back
---> which is to say:
Transfer thing - it is frustrating for me. for example - i was trying to buy a goalgetter for 2 years! with no success. i try to sell my boys but find it hard to do on friday night (so they would get the best price). so i dont sell them untill friday comes and i am at home, which is to say, i dont sell them. untill some monday morning i trash them all on TL.

#### my few suggestions/reassonings:
- TL/selling - make it so i can select the time that the player will be sold (or implement some better logic to it - i.e. licitation with openended time of transaction, so the seller then chooses to sell after all the possible interested parties had a glance of the soon to be sold player)
- TL/buying - make it so, that i dont need to sit at my comp on sunday night, clicking away my bidding until i fall asleep, and still 2 years latter i didnt get to buy that ronaldo. -> obviously i am suggesting some serious rework on TL.

- about juniors - since i want to help my national team, i also want to have my own team full of slovenian players. but a fresh player from the school still needs a few years to get into A team, and i can only train so many. SO, i suggest some sort of LENDING a player (as seen in RL) for a season, then getting him back.

- junior league in my country usually has 2-4 teams in it. many seasons there is an odd number of teams, so one team gets no game to play in a specific week - maybe add a bot junior team?

-STATS - i would like to see how many times my player made a sucesfull pass, how many times he played the ball with his head, what distance he made during the game, ... stats like those, coming from the gameEngine

- MORE STATS, yes, just more stats

a few maybes:
---> maybe you could make the referries consistent - give them names and a sort of rating by which they (miss)judge the game, and make it so that every team has to deal with the crazy ones.
---> maybe the injuries shouldnt last so long (not sure, is also good to have a dead player i think, is realistic and you get to pull your youngsters out on the A field)

###
on a personal note - just recently, two of our 1st league teams stopped playing, one was banned! the other idk. it feels like 30% of slo
playerbase is gone. i suspect bankrupcy is the reason behind it. if you have a chance, please make them come back :) (i dont know any of them personally, nor do i communicate with them, no alternate motifs here)

thank you all
cheers!
