You should point some directory for backups in settings. I do not remember exactly what option is it, but there should not be much options in SV. Just set path to some empty directory in this option. And from now all SV data backups will be stored there.
Can someone link me a version to the download of this. Whenever I click on a previous link it says "this site cannot be reached".
Any idea why it doesn't come up when I click on the "Launcher.jar"? two errors pop up
Try rightclick and "open with" ... select: java
and if it doesn´t help, then install another java version,
e.g. Mine is http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/java-archive-downloads-javase7-521261.html#jre-7u71-oth-JPR (oracle) version 7.0.710

You have to unpack it first and than you have to open it with Java

I guess it´s not the java.
Check following things and please give some more details:
- When you open it, is your login name and your password correct? Is the update-data-box checked?
- Check if there is a folder selected in "Tools - Preferences - Backup - Backup filepath". The folder must be empty (no data files - only subfolder allowed)
- Do you have a firewall on your system?
- Are you behind a proxy?
You could also try to install SV again over the old installation. Perhaps it will work.

Uninstall all javas and after that install only the latest JRE
Download 64-bit and 32-bit version of SV or better only one adequate to java version
Try running both versions of SV and hmmm, how do you even do this? I mean trying to run it? Is there any error?
EDIT: I assume You are able to run it but update is impossible, right? Anyway, check for sokker.log file in SV directory and look for some error information in that file (check timestamp).
