I feel like the match engine is way down the list of things that need sorting out.
There are so many little things that need fixing that I've honestly lost track of them. Unfortunately there seems to be an attitude that the big problems are too big to fix and the small problems are too small to matter.

Yup, the match engine is the last thing to be "touched" atm.
But other things are possible, some of them already "in progress".

Well, this is reassuring. Most of us understand that progress has to be slow, but communication is always beneficial. I realize this can create unreasonable expectations from people too, but....I dunno. There has to be some sort of middle ground for communication. Doesn't mean Raul needs to do a "Q and A" every month.
The communication is the biggest problem right now but there is something that should/will be done soon in that matter.
